Water first, then concentrate

Pour in the water, then add the concentrate. This way the solution does not foam up too early and mixes more easily.

Measure, do not guess

For small doses use a measuring cup or a syringe. The higher the dilution, the more a dosing error matters.

Follow the label

The ratios in the calculator match the product pages. If the packaging says otherwise, follow the packaging.

Frequently asked questions:

What does a 1:40 ratio mean?

One part concentrate to forty parts water. For 10 litres of water that is 250 ml of concentrate. The ratio depends on the application method: a foam cannon usually takes a stronger mix than a bucket.

What is the difference between "volume of water" and "volume of solution"?

If you choose water, the concentrate is added on top and the final volume is slightly larger. If you choose finished solution, the calculator subtracts the concentrate from the water, so you get exactly the amount you entered.

How is the cost calculated?

We take the recommended retail price of the pack shown on the site, divide it by the pack volume and multiply by the amount of concentrate in the solution. The cost of water is not included.

Can I use a different ratio?

Yes. In step 3 there is a "Custom ratio" field: enter your own number and the result updates. When you pick another product or method, the value returns to the recommended one. There is no need to change the ratio without a reason: a mix that is too weak works worse, a mix that is too strong is harder to rinse off.
